Sitrep »
I shamelessly borrowed from tschilai and created a new category called “Sitrep” to file entries that are not really uncategorized but don’t fit anywhere else.
It’s now two weeks after FedCon 17 and my picture upload. I actually just intended to share my pictures with the other FedCon attendees and fans of the respective actors, but things usually come differently than planned. Same here. Within just one day my average hit count multiplied by 25 and surpassed 800 hits and my moderate traffic volume of about 160MB per month has increased …
Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, FedCon »
Alright, let’s review quickly (click here for part 1): We are talking about FedCon Friday. I had already run across and almost into a number of our star guests, the highlight being Bruce Boxleitner whom I passed in the hotel lobby about an hour after FedCon opened. I had already had my picture taken with Peter Jurasik (“Londo Mollari” of »Babylon 5«), who was absolutely nice and charming and who’s embrace I can still feel ;)
On a side-note: except maybe for train-geeks (yeah, those people who love trains and model …

Arriving
FedCon 17 was my first ever convention and it is still difficult for me to put everything into writing. Since my memory has not yet fully returned to me, but I have the strong urge to write down the little that I remember, I will give you a report on the things that stand out clearly for me. So, no blow by blow account but rather highlight after highlight – come to think of it, that amounts to the same thing. Since this is getting very long already, I will …

FedCon XVII (or FedCon 17) is over, but I am still not quite back home yet. Physically yes, but mentally – NO! This was one of the most amazing weekends I’ve ever had and as much as I try to compile all my experiences in a con-report, this is still too much.
I wouldn’t even know where to begin: the highlights started with me almost running into Bruce Boxleitner in the hotel lobby, finally meeting all those great people in person I got to know through various forums and boards, walking …

Photos of FedCon XVII are NOW all online: Bruce Boxleitner, Peter Jurasik, Mary McDonnell, Jamie Bamber, Julie Caitlin Brown, Brent Spiner, Kevin Sorbo, Leah Cairns, Nicki Clyne, Steve Bacic, W. Morgan Sheppard and Michael Shanks.
If you’d like a picture in a larger resolution, no problem. Please mail me the number of the picture and I’ll try to get back to you as soon as possible.
The albums in the gallery are in the order of the panels from Friday through Sunday (Richard Hatch was not at FedCon!).
Addendum: All FedCon pictures were …

Not even 24 hours left and then a dream will finally come true for me: I will go to a scifi convention, meet people who are as interested in this as I am and I get to meet some of my favorite actors in person. Unbelievable.
While this may seem crazy or distorted to many people, I believe that every one needs something to look forward to and to get a kick out of. FedCon has kept my mood up for the last months and really is the first positive thing …

OK, I have abandoned all pretense – I will try to watch the complete fifth season of »Babylon 5« before Friday. Not just because I am afraid that I won’t catch some references that might come up in the panels, especially in the one with Peter Jurasik, but also to get myself in the right mood. So, without further ado I will start tonight with the last episode of season four (to catch up) and I’ll see how many episodes I can manage.I won’t watch SIL though … that one I …
