One exam done, six to go. Another written exam this Friday. Now, I felt unprepared last week but that is nothing to how I feel now.
Those dozens of books, as annoying as they might have been, at least gave me the feeling that I really had tried to prepare. And out of forty or so books you can at least draw some intelligent stuff. Max, nick-named Dicker, has passed beyond the Rim. His kidneys failed completely yesterday and all we could do was to spare him any more suffering.

In 24 hours I will sit my first of two written final exams (the other one is next week on Friday). I am scared senseless right now, running up and down, glancing at my index cards and trying frantically to remember all that stuff … and at the same time I try to refrain of following in Laura Roslin’s footsteps and tearing up the cards after I read them.
I’ve never failed an academic exam before and it would be the worst timing in the world to start now. …
