The following options are available for everyone, not just for FedCon attendees:

You can buy the official FedCon DVD. It will contain:

  • Panels of the stars (parts)
  • Costume Contest
  • Opening and closing seremony
  • Fans, Fanart and Impressions
  • Interviews
  • FedCon Party

Runtime: appr. 4 hours // 16:9 PAL // Dolby Digital 5.1

To pre-order, please visit fedcon.tv and send an email via the link provided. Use that email to ask any questions as well.

Now, Special DVDs can be made available also. Those Special DVDs will contain full length panels and will only be produced if at least 150 people order.

For the Babylon 5 fans that means: you can buy a DVD containing the panels of Bruce Boxleitner, Peter Jurasik and their fantastic joint panel and the panels of Julie Caitlin Brown as well as interviews with all of them. To order, please write an email to FedCon DVD and chose “FedCon 17 Babylon 5 Panel DVD” as a subject.

The price of the DVD will be 14,50 Euros. Right now, orders are just counted, you don’t have to pay anything yet. As soon as at least 150 people have signed up, you will be contacted and payment terms can be discussed (PayPal, Credit Card, bank transfer…).

So, please sign up and if you have any questions please use the email address above.

Just to make it clear: We are talking about a professionally produced DVD here; everyone involved is a pro and the equipment used is not your average home camera but pro equipment worth a couple thousand Euros. If you want to get an impression of the quality you can expect, please watch the trailer on fedcon.tv and check out the 6 minute excerpt of FedCon 16 available on intexsound.de.

UPDATE
Just to get you in the right mood, here’s a little fan video to motivate you to GO TO YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT NOW and ORDER the DVD ;) This video has nothing to do with fedcon.tv or intexsound.de. This is just a fan vid, nothing more!

I “ordered” the B5 DVD a few days ago, combined with the question how many orders they have received so far for B5. Devastating Answer: 13 ;-(

I know, but that just means we have to mobilize EVERYONE we know! Write in all the boards, link to fedcon.tv and bug certain people *coughbatchandtschilaicough* to order as well. Maybe we should try some sort of snowball-email? *wonders*

Looks like the B5 Special DVD is officially dead, 20 orders 6 weeks. (See OSTFC)

Damn, i hope they don’t cut away too much Boxleitner / Jurassik on the normal DVD…

    FRAK!

That news just ruined my day. Where the heck are the B5 fans … there seemed to be a couple hundred enthusiasts in the panels, considering the cheering and the standing ovation for Peter.

Maybe we should start praying: “In Valen’s name …”

Sorry, I didn’t mean to ruin your day, I just thought you should know :(

I know, I don’t get it either. Obviously the crowd liked Jurassik and Boxleitner enough to give them standing ovations, but not enough to buy the DVD…

Maybe the age of B5 really is a bit of a problem. I mean, BSG is just way more recent than B5. Not logical enough for me, though.

Oh, don’t worry, I had a friend cheer my up just now.

My guess: The die hard B5 fans who’d be willing to order a DVD have been fans of the show for quite some time now and maybe have even met the actors more than just once now, seen them during a couple different conventions … that means they (the fans) are not as intrigued by the prospect of a B5 panel DVD as we con-newbies are. They’ve seen it all a couple of times, it’s not as exciting to them.

I can understand it, but still I wish we could get the numbers up. Actually, I wish I had the money myself to order 130 copies to make it happen … I NEED A JOB! ;)
