Rejected iPod Engravings
Okay, I admit it: sometimes I go to the Apple website and have a look at the [Product Red] iPod nano (which I hope to be able to afford sometime this year) and then I try out various engravings. Since you can only order the red iPod online, I decided I want mine engraved and I think I know what I will put on the back of it. (Hint: it’s a quote from my favorite Babylon 5 character and the letter-restriction for the engraving leaves one word of the quote incomplete. Who feels up to the challenge to figure the quote out?
)
But, as I learned while surfing the web, Apple actually reserves the right to refuse an engraving. The guys over at Methodshop have put together a list of rejects and my favs are:
- Screwing The RIAA One Download At A Time
- 10,000 Stolen Tunes Inside
- Turn Me Over And Rub Your Thumb All Over Me
The last one is actually taken from a comment here. (Just for the record: I am a paying iTunes Store customer, I just think those ideas are really funny
)
People really have some funny ideas when it comes to this, I’d be interested to know what you would put on an iPod nano (keep in mind the letter limit).

Some of these are really great…
Lets see what I can come up with on the fly:
“You cannot use me with Linux”
“I’m proprietary”
“What’s Ogg-Vorbis???”
“Shiny”
“If you can hear the music, you are a cylon”
“Objects in mirror are closer than they appear”
“You really bought all that music?”
“I won’t make you any cooler, just poorer”
“If you work at Microsoft, hide me”
Sorry, no more creativity left. But i wont buy an ipod anyway

ROFL!!!
Oh my godness, I can’t breath anymore!!! These are hilarious!
I especially like the one with the “cylon”, that’s great!

So, what is the letter limit? I don’t really feel like browsing a store that probably wouldn’t see my money even if I had some just to find out

“Listen to the music, not the song!”
But that’s Kosh

Oh, I didn’t even consider that one, tschilai. Now have to start thinking again.
The limit for the first line is 29 (including spaces) and for the second line 28 (incl. spaces).
You can try various engravings out and see how they look like: CLICK ME
