Guys, I love the activity here on my blog, but it’s getting difficult to sort through the mass of comments and what belongs where. So, I’ve installed a new plugin that allows for threaded comments.
If you want to reply to a specific comment, please use the little [REPLY] button beneath each comment. I guess you’ll figure out on your own the principle of which REPLY button to use when there are already replies in place.
If you have any problems with the new feature, please let me know (what exactly went wrong, which OS you are on, which browser etc).
Thanks.

Thanks for that new feature. Will check it out eventually. :)
Unfortunately, I encountered a real weird bug, which probably isn’t related to the new feature. If you try to incorporate a link (using “href”) into an entry, and the URL of this link ends with a numeric character, then something goes awry, at least in the preview section below (I didn’t try to submit such a faulty entry). For instance, if you write
[a href="http://www.test.com/test.hmtl?abc"]Test[/a]
then everything’s alright. If you write
[a href="http://www.test.com/test.hmtl?abc2"]Test[/a]
instead, however, it just doesn’t work anymore. Any idea why? (Of course, I substituted angle brackets by square brackets in the examples given above).

Can you give me an example link that ends with a numeral and doesn’t work?
Thanks!

Now this is a good opportunity to check out the new feature. Okay, so I clicked on the “reply” button. Let’s see what happens. ;)
I am a bit confused about your comment. Although the “test” website in my entry clearly doesn’t exist, it is as good an example as any. It’s really only a matter of adding a numeral to the end of the URL or not. Of course, there is a “real” website which made me realize this bug yesterday, namely “http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=9ROFyM9uDr8″ (YouTube URLs sometimes end with a numeral). Thereafter, however, I investigated the problem more thoroughly and found out about the numeric character issue.
Maybe I shoud be more specific about what “doesn’t work” is supposed to mean. If you use a href command as given in my example above, the link will either appear normally (no numeral) or not at all (ending with a numeral). In the latter case there’s nothing to click on, it’s as if the href command doesn’t exist. I shoud emphasize once more that I observed this problem in the preview only, I have no idea if the parser works flawlessly once you press the “submit” button. Furthermore, although unlikely, it might be a browser issue here at work since I use IE 6.0 instead of Firefox.

Got you.
It’s a preview problem, posting a link with a numeral at the end works fine, I just tested it.
If in doubt, just make a test-comment and declare it as a test comment. I get notified every time someone writes something and can delete it if necessary.
I have no idea why this problem occurs with the preview; I’ll let the dev know. I am using Safari here and it doesn’t show up either.
Thanks again.
