Eureka is back!
Since I usually catch on to TV shows either when they already have been cancelled or when at least two or more seasons have aired, I am so not used to actually wait for new brain food to come out. I guess, klti, tschilai and Batch can tell you everything about that kind of feeling, as they are all huge BSG fans.

Now, I have discovered a wonderful little show called »Eureka« in March and rapidly went through two full seasons. The show fun, doesn’t take itself too seriously, and had an amazing and completely unexpected plot twist at the beginning of the second season.
“Bad to the Drone”, the first episode of the new season, was a good show but I wouldn’t rate it among the best. Probably because they did what every show at the beginning of a new season does: it tries to familiarize new viewers with the characters while not make it too boring for returning fans. A new villain character was introduced, as neither Stark nor Henry can fill that role anymore. She is called “The Fixer” and the writers concept works: I dislike her. As usual, you have the theme of children growing up and their parents being troubled by it, which sometimes doesn’t really come off right (just because he can’t protect her all the time, Carter sends his daughter away from her part time job in the Cafe Diem?!).
(Spoilers ahead for all seasons!)
Almost as expected (yeah, hope against hope), Alison accepted the proposal by Stark and I keep wondering - what are the writers going at? In the first season, through some nice plot twist, Carter and Alison ended up married and with child. In the second season, through another amazing plot twist, it looked like things were not going well for them, but instead Stark got another chance with his ex-wife. And now she’s said yes! What will become of Carter?
To be honest, I’d like it much better if he and Alison would come back together and I hope for another one of those twists, but at the same time I wonder how often the writers can pull that off before it gets too unrealistic. In the end, it means I have to wait and see what happens. Oh, this is frustrating!
