Humor as a form of appreciation

Just stumbled upon something in the Babylon Podcast forum that made me laugh out loud. The full humor will probably only reveal itself to you if you are familiar with the podcast and maybe with Voices of Babylon as well.

For those of you B5 fans who have not yet listened to the podcast (seriously, you have no idea on what you are missing out): Jarsto is a long time listener and did call in very often with voice mails, which were so hilarious that he inspired others and in the end he, Edmund and John ended up with their own podcast (VoB).

I am quoting the user ‘Horseboy’ here (thanks, man, for the fun!):

Here are the top ten reason we do not here from Jarsto any more.

Number ten. Gary calls so much that Jarsto can never get through.

Number nine. Jarsto is very depressed and is under going therapy after hearing of JMS announcement.

Number eight. Mike was concerned that Farpoint Media was becoming Jarsto media and banned him.

Number seven. Jarsto has so much to say that he could not possibly fit it in a voice mail so he stopped trying.

Number six. Jarsto is really JMS is hidden identity and he is stopped calling because of all the complaints about his announcement.

Number five. Jarsto is really Jeff sober.

Number four. After listening to the podcast JMS has asked Jarsto take over all new Babylon 5 projects and Jarsto is hard at work.

Number three. Jarsto has said that Summer is worthy of him after he found errors in her work on the Babylon 5 Chronology.

Number two. Jarsto has moved to Florida, lost his accent and change his name to Gary.

Number one. Jarsto has gone to a space station change into a Minbai and been sent back a thousand years in time.

Since I have the good fortune of having had some dealing with Jarsto it made reading those lines even funnier. My favorites are #8 and #10.

Now I am going to look for some kleenex, my eyes are still watering from laughing.
