Babylon 5 Calendar for 2009
++++++++++++++++++Download: Babylon 5 Calendar 2009 (.zip archive, 17.1MB)+++++++++++++++++
Attention all B5 fans out there: here’s a 12-page calendar for 2009 for you to download and print out. NOTE: The calendar will up for download on Monday, 5th January, because I want to provide you with the nice, high resolution version which, for all 12 months, mounts up to 17MB. Due to my insanely slow internet connection I have no chance whatsoever to upload it from home so it will have to wait until next week.
Just thought I’d let you know ahead of time and there are some previews below to get you all drooling (hopefully). I used some nice images from NASA for the backgrounds and put in some of my favorite quotes, one for each month. Thanks to the incredible work by the Babylon 5 Scripts Team on the “In Purple I’m Stunning” book I was able to check for quotes really fast and the time-line book (’Across Time and Space’) helped out as well. The final file will fit the A4 paper size but should also be printable on US letter without much hassle. I left some room on the borders so you can adjust it a little.
I’ve double- and triple checked that I got all the dates and days right as well as no typos in the quotes; if you find any mistakes (either on the previews or on the calendar later on) please let me know. My email address is listed on the right sidebar all the way down.
Disclaimer: This is a project by a fan for fans. All rights for Babylon 5 and its associated trademarks belong to JMS and Warner Bros.
Again: these are just low resolution previews to give you an idea, the high resolution, printable version (.png files) will be up on Monday.

Nice! You’re crazy though. But then, ain’t we all? ;)

I notice you made November “Psi-Corps month”. Is this a comment on the weird mental effect of NaNoWriMo, or am I reading too much into this?

 Actually, this connection escaped me until you mentioned it. Seems I am still somewhat under the influence of NaNoWriMo. But I was actually thinking of Edmund … wanna make everyone happy here :)

Well, I hope to satisfy the expectations. First time I am actually waiting for a Monday, now. And that should mean something, as I have to work again then.

Sorry in case I’m too late, but I found some typos in the quotes. In February, it must be “the chosen ones” instead of “the chose ones”. In March, you wrote “worried very time”. The correct citation would be “worried every time”, I suppose. In August, there might be a missing indefinite article, but I might as well be wrong on that one because I rely entirely on my memory. In my opinion, it’s “battle with a Minbari fleet” instead of “battle with Minbari fleet”. That’ll be all. :-)

Oh man, I’m blind obviously. I just didn’t see the download link above for the “full quality” calendar. I seems you already found the February mistake yourself. The other two issues remain, unfortunately. Still, very impressive work. Believe it or not but I’m going to print out those pages and use them as a wall calendar. Again, thanks a million for your work! :D

Hello Matthias,
thanks very much for pointing that out! I will try to correct the “very”/”every” mistake today and upload a new version tomorrow. — UPDATE: I won’t make it on Thursday, but I will try to have that fixed until Friday. Sorry for any inconvenience. —
About the “Minbari fleet” – I actually stumbled across this myself when I wrote this, but it is indeed a word-for-word quotation from the official Babylon 5 quote book ‘But In Purple, I’m Stunning‘. I would have written it as you suggested, but I decided to trust the quotes team. But maybe I’ll check in the scripts books, just to be sure :)
Glad you like the calendar … I have already printed a copy for myself and put it on my wall (and I admire it, I am honest enough to admit that).

Pack was updated. Thanks to Jarsto and Matthias who found typos.

You’re welcome. Just a quick update: I printed the calendar out, glued each page to a piece of cardboard and put it on the wall. Shiny! (Didn’t realize until now how that Firefly vocab rubbed off on me.)

Now I know where Jarsto got this phrase from! :)
Anyway, glad you liked it and made the effort of putting it up. Hope it will help you guide you through the – rather important, from your perspective – year 8) Is it already time to congratulate or not yet?
