FedCon 2009 – Here I come!

Yay!
Can’t say it any other way. I will really go to FedCon again this year. For a while, it looked like I wouldn’t be able to make it, mainly due to financial concerns: flight, hotel, tickets, autographs and so on cost me about 600 Euros last year. That’s a hell of a lot of money to spend on a weekend.

Valentine’s day traditionally is for those in love, but since I don’t have someone like that again (yet), I thought: who are the people that matter most after family and partners/spouses? The answer was pretty simple: Friends.

February 13th, 2009
First of all, today is the day my hometown of Dresden, Germany, will commemorate the 64th anniversary of its destruction during World War II, honoring the memory of the tens of thousands civilians that were killed in the attack by the Allied forces.
May their fate and their suffering stand as a warning to us and future generations of what must never ever happen again.
