BSG @ UN: There is only one race!

+++Update: Now with wallpaper+++

Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell of Battlestar Galactica attended a panel at the United Nations (seriously, the real UN!) together with producers Moore and Eick.

The panel, which was moderated by Whoopi Goldberg, dealt with human rights – and how the violation of the same as shown on the show sadly reflects reality in many parts of the world.

Apart from the fact that the BSG team got invited to participate in the event – I mean, how COOL is that?!? – a certain speech has touched me very much: Edward James Olmos, Admiral Adama, got very emotional when one speaker used the word ‘race’. In no uncertain terms he condemned the word, saying that it created separation where there should be none and that there is all but ONE race – the human race.

So say we all! Can’t wait to hear him at FedCon this year, this is going to be awesome!

    I just hope I can make it to the panel, especially the beginning. Last year I missed Mary McDonnell’s panel (was in a haze after the photo op with Bruce Boxleitner) and when you guys told me how the whole Mainbridge shouted “So say we all” … I hope we can make this happen again this year.

    BTW: How’s the art coming on?
