College over. Treat time.

Finally, after years and years, college is finally over. This Wednesday at 10.30 am I took the last of my final exams (and sucked, but who cares now) and passed. On my way out of the building I dumped my review papers into the trash bin, wearing a slightly insane grin on my face ;)
My mom permanently damaged ear drum when she screamed in the phone when I told her that her daughter now has joined the ranks of academics. And my colleagues showed up in  surprisingly large numbers to …

PASSED. HAPPY. PARTYING!
+++++++++++++++++
Alright, I am nervous beyond description – today is my (hopefully) very last exam and today by 11:05 am I should forever be done with college.
I am scared out of my mind, as usual I feel completely unprepared and I keep worrying that I might fail this last one – that would not only be terrible inconvenient, but also embarrassing. My colleagues are waiting for me at work to show up with the champagne, my friends are sitting by their cell phones waiting for a SMS to let them …

Passed my oral communication exam today. Sheesh, that was the most difficult so far. I didn’t get asked a single thing from the texts I had to read but almost only general stuff … which I of course didn’t know. Surprisingly enough, I walked away with a 2.0 (that’s 3.0 for you Americans). Which is awesome, because that’s a lot better than I expected.
In addition, I got my working contract (YAY), had lunch with my colleagues (after being away from work for three works due to learning), and sold a book …

Really, how is one supposed to keep up with things? I slowly understand how news agencies must feel: there’s always news coming in and you have to be fast to stay on top of things.
Right now, I have the feeling that I am lagging behind. The only thing I managed was to finally start on my book wish list. Not because I want anyone to get me a book, but because I tend to forget what I wanted to read. So, the list is just a reminder for myself – …

Here we go again …

Today, in exactly one week, I will have gotten over another two exams and come closer to my goal of getting out of college with a decent degree.
Only thing between me and a good grade is, once again, my depressing reading list, which I don’t want to keep from you (click for larger view):

My reading list for my next exam (which takes place in less than two weeks) has been rejected for the third time. I don’t get it. That’s the only professor who’s making such trouble and I have no idea what he’s getting at. I am pissed and frustrated.
Update: Fourth version just went out. Let’s see what happens.

“I don’t like surprises.”
“Really? I love them myself. I mean, to me everything is a surprise. (…) I mean, I even surprise myself sometimes.”
Draal & Cmdr. Ivanova, Babylon 5, »Voices of Authority«
Well, I did surprise myself today when I scored a 1.3 in my final (oral) psychology exam (that’s a 3.7 for you US readers). It was astonishingly easy (for what I expected) and when the professor said, “Well, time’s up” I was actually a little disappointed because I was just getting into it.
Anyway, that leaves my overall college GPA …

Just to let you know I am still alive and kickin’ … since I’ve been told by some people that my lack of blogging has led them to assume something had happened to me. Funny, isn’t it (and probably a worthy topic for a sociology homework ;) ).
College
My final thesis has been graded by my second corrector and she’s given me a 1.3!!!!! I almost fell off my chair when I read it online (for non-Germans: our best grade is 1.0 and the failing grade is 5.0). So to my …
