Last weekend Al Gore visited Poznan (Poland) to speak at the 14th United Nations Climate Change Conference and here’s his speech (video) as well as a transcript of the speech itself. Following the news closely I read in the New York Times online edition that Barack Obama has been officially declared the Democratic party’s candidate for this year’s election. By acclamation.
Now, I first read about this procedure in Dan Brown’s novel “Angel’s and Demons” (which is currently being filmed with Tom Hanks).
